Eng-Wong, Taub & Associates is providing traffic consulting services as part of a multi-firm team assessing regional transportation needs and mobility within a corridor extending from the I-287/87 interchange in Suffern to the I-287/I-95 interchange in Port Chester, including the Tappan Zee Bridge. The first stage of the project, completed in 2006, included an Alternatives Analysis report that identified and evaluated 150 alternative elements suggested by the public. These elements were combined into 15 scenarios, and further analysis by the project team reduced these scenarios to final alternatives. Eng-Wong, Taub also conducted a safety impact study for the TPZ/I-287 corridor.
